I'm at the excruciating part of working on my siddur: I'm sitting with a printout, reading each word out loud while pointing at it with my pencil, and any time a word doesn't sound right I'm checking in three other sources.

I'm averaging about 5 corrections per page --- I've missed a sh'va na or a qamatz qatan, or sometimes it's a furtive patach that needs shifting to the right, or a sin+cholom that needs a second dot. The really embarrassing errors have mostly been caught by now; it's the details that are left. But the "find rate" is high enough that it's clearly a necessary step.
