Genealogy: Leschem of Dvinsk

As I've posted before, I have circumstantial evidence that the "Green(e)" line comes from Dinaburg, also known as Dvinsk. When I search on JewishGen's Latvian database for the first name "Todros", which was my ggf's name, I find something intriguing... but probably wrong.

So here's the thing. I look at the "Jewish Families of Dvinsk", which are also on Ancestry, and I find the LESCHEM / LESCHIN / LESEM / LESIN family:

LESIN, Rasa (BOGARANSKY) b. David; age 35 [=>1862]; Wife of Mendel
LESIN, Hena b. Genoch; age 41 [=>1856]; Wife of Miche

which lets me build out these trees:

[Presumed Todres, b. <1800, d. <1836]
  16 Mates/Motel b. Todres, born 1816; Relative of Boruch SKUTEL; m. 2 Basa b. 1820, Wife of Mates
     31 Todres b. Mates/Motel, born 1836/7, m. 13 Lea, born 1835, Wife of Todres (by elimination, probably Todres. b. Mates/Motel)
for next generation see possibly below
     22 Michel b. Mates/Motel, born 1839/40; m. 4 Braina, born 1836/7; Wife of Michel
20 Mendel b. Mates, b. 1853 (seems late for son of 16; also, is maybe dup with 21?). m 7 Ethel, born 1854; Wife of Mendel [dup with 26; assuming based on age]
21 Mendel b. Mates/Motel, born 1854; m. 26 Risa Ethel, born 1860; Wife of Mendel (assuming correct mendel based on age)
3 Beines b. Todres, born 1820, m. 28 Sora Enta, born 1832, Wife of Beines (second wife?)
     30 Todres b. Beines, born 1842, m. 29 Sora Feiga (born 1843)
        15 Man Berka b. Todres, born 1862
        for others see possibly below

Not sure which family (30 or 31)
            6 Elia b. Todres, born 1861
            8 Haim Mowscha b. Todres, born 1865
14 Leiba b. Todres, born 1850; To Grodno in 1893, m. 17 Matla b. Mowscha, born 1867; Wife of Leiba; to Grodno in 1893
27 Schlioma b. Todres, born 1876, m. Rasa b. Mowscha Gilel (no date), Wife of Schlioma

[Presumed Boruch]
  11 Jankel b. Boruch, born 1827, died 1880, m. 23 Mirka, born 1829; Wife of Jankel
     10 Idel b. Jankel, born 1860, m. 9 Haja Esther b. Selik, b. 1863, Wife of Idel
12 Jankel Boruch b. Idel, born 1889 m. 5 Dweira b. Leiba (nee GASSEL), born 1886, Wife of Jankel Boruch
19 Mendel b. Jankel, born 1868; m. 18 Mechla b. Gutman, born 1870; Wife of Mendel (assuming correct mendel based on age)
  ?? Notka/Nota b. Boruch [imputed because of 1]
      1 Abram b. Notka/Nota, born 1846; Nephew of Jankel; m. 24 Nechama/Nichama Esther, born 1847; Wife of Abram

If you ignore the family name, this is a pretty good match with my family tree:

My ggggf Benjamin (no dates known) would match #3, Beines b. Todros (b. 1820)
My gggf Todres (b. 1840) would match #30 (b. 1842)
My gggm Sarah Feiga Lessin (b. 1842?) would match #29 (b. 1843) -- and note her last name
My ggf Mowna (or Manes) Dov-Ber (b. 1862) would be #15, Man Berka (b. 1862)
My ggf's siblings, Max (b. 1877) and Becky (b. 1882) would not be on the 1876 list

Also, this household is NOT in the 1897 census, while the other one is. One potential catch though is that #30 is re-listed in 1883 -- so perhaps Max and Becky *should* be there after all?

If #3 is the one who died Aug 1894, which is plausible, would that be why my Todros et fam moved to NY in 1894?

So it's a plausible match; there's nothing that jumps out as a contradiction, just the one question about the 1883 listing. Everything else lines up just right. And Sarah Feiga's death certificate gives her maiden name as "Lessin".

But it's also speculative. There's no positive proof here.

This is fascinating, but could I impose on you to add a cut tag? The tables are breaking the margins on my friends page. Thanks!
